Here’s How You Can Manage Neck Pain From Using Handheld Devices Daily

We’ve become so attached to technology that it’s starting to have a negative effect on our health and body.

“Text neck” has become a new buzzword. It describes the neck pain and damage sustained from looking down at your cell phone, tablet, or other wireless devices too frequently and for too long.

However, there are a few simple things you can do that will ease the pain you may experience using a wireless device.

4 Adjustments To Prevent Neck Pain

1. Raise the phone higher

Hold the phone higher up near eye level so you can avoid your head tilting down.

2. Take frequent breaks

Sometimes it’s best just to put down the device for a bit and take a break from it. You can use this time to stretch your neck or lay on your back to make sure your posture doesn’t deteriorate over time.

3. Stand up straight

Make sure your shoulders are pulled back and that your body holds a neutral postion without leaning forward or back too much.

4. Arch & stretch

Arch the neck back from time to time and keep it flexible and strong by stretching it on a regular basis.
